Top five accountancy network BDO sees fee income increase 4.92%, after huge growth in the Asia Pacific region
GLOBAL ACCOUNTING network BDO has reported a growth in fee income of 4.92% across its member firms after a strong performance in the Asia Pacific region.
For the year ended 30 September 2010, BDO’s fee income was €3.89bn (£3.27bn). Asia Pacific was the fastest growing region, which saw its revenues rise 32%. This success was attributed to the expansion of its operations in China, which saw growth of 65% to €149m over the last year.
Sub-Saharan Africa also perfomed stongly, with fee income up 28%.
Audit and accounting made up almost 61% of combined turnover, with tax and advisory services bringing in 19% and 20% respectively.
Jeremy Newman, CEO of BDO, said: “Since our year end on 30 September, we have welcomed a number of additional countries to the network, as well as announced a merger in France.
“Our steady growth throughout 2009/10 is a mark of BDO’s success and our primary objective is to support our clients as they expand domestically and internationally.”
