Listing of professional services firms shows accountants leave their professional colleagues in the shade
The Big Four accountancy firms are the largest professional services
companies in the world, according to research by the
Managing Partners’
Forum.
The report, described as the first ever list of the top 500 professional
services firms, puts PricewaterhouseCoopers top, followed by, in order,
Deloitte, E&Y and KPMG.
PwC turns over nearly $22bn globally (£11bn), Deloitte $20bn, E&Y $18.4bn
and KPMG $16.8bn.
The four leave the legal, consulting and marketing firms in the shade. The
highest ranked law firm is Clifford Chance at 45th, turning over $2.3bn.
Accountancy firms generate $115bn of a total of $535bn generated by the firms
on the list.
