HaysMac strengthens private client team with new director hire

HaysMac has appointed Tim Walford-Fitzgerald as Private Client Director, strengthening the firm’s tax advisory offering to high-net-worth individuals and international families.

Walford-Fitzgerald brings more than 20 years’ experience advising clients on complex UK tax planning, trusts, and wealth structuring. His expertise includes succession planning, navigating regulatory changes, and managing cross-border tax issues.

Prior to joining HaysMac, he held senior positions at a mid-tier accountancy firm and is recognised for his commentary on private client tax matters in national and trade media.

At HaysMac, he will contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the Private Client and Trusts team, which advises business owners, trustees, and landed estates alongside high-net-worth individuals and families.

Natasha Frangos, managing partner at HaysMac, said:

“Tim brings deep expertise and a commercial mindset that will add real value to our clients and our team through his approachable manner. His appointment reflects our continued investment in building one of the most trusted and dynamic private client teams in the market. As we continue to grow, we’re focused on attracting leaders who align with our purpose: For business. For people. For good.”

Walford-Fitzgerald said the firm’s reputation was a key factor in his decision to join.

“I’m excited to be joining HaysMac at a time of such momentum. The team’s reputation for technical excellence and deep client relationships aligns closely with my approach, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success,” he said.

The appointment follows the recent arrival of Graeme Privett as Private Client Partner and comes during a period of expansion for the firm.

Over the past year, HaysMac has undergone a rebrand, been named one of The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work 2025 for the second year running, and was highly commended in the ‘Best Places to Work for Women’ category.

The firm was also listed in eprivateclient’s Top Accountancy Firms for 2024.
