Six employees to help build sustainable housing for local families
As part of its corporate
responsibility programme,
Grant Thornton
has sent six employees to volunteer in
Costa Rica to help build
sustainable housing for local families.
The firm selected the staff based on their demonstrated team-work skills and
enthusiasm. Only those who had worked for the organisation for at least four
years were eligible to apply.
Grant Thornton is covering the majority of the costs involved as well as
giving the volunteers half the leave required to take part in the project.
The two-week project is based in San Ramon, one hour away from San Jose, the
capital of Costa Rica.
