The audit for Ibstock will be taken over by Deloitte following a competitive tender process
BRICKBUILDER Ibstock has laid the foundations for Deloitte to take on its audit – replacing EY.
The process, led by the company’s audit committee, concluded with the executive board that Deloitte will be the proposed auditor for the financial year beginning 1 January 2017.
The appointment is subject to the approval of the shareholders at the 2017 annual general meeting.
Ibstock is a manufacturer of clay bricks, with a range of clay and concrete products operating in the UK and the US.
The Board of Ibstock extended its appreciation to EY for its services as auditor and confirmed there were no matters in connection following the 2016 audit with EY’s prospective resignation.
