Cloud accounting platform introduces bulk payroll feature
ACCOUNTANCY SOFTWARE group FreeAgent claims its new bulk payroll platform will allow accountants to cut through bundles of red tape and save hours of administration every month.
The cloud-based firm says the feature allows accountants to prepare and file multiple client payrolls to HMRC at the same time, with the platform focusing on accountants that deal with contractors, freelancers and micro-businesses. Bulk payroll will be available for all FreeAgent’s accountancy practice customers.
Ed Molyneux, CEO and co-founder of FreeAgent, said: “Running payroll every month can be a very time-consuming process for accountancy practices – especially if they have thousands of clients as increasing numbers of our partner practices do. We wanted to try and ease the burden for these practices and help free up their valuable time.
Early adopters of FreeAgent’s new feature have praised the service, including one executive of a UK accountancy firm
“Now we’ve everything in one place, including P60s, we not only save time running payroll every month but have also reduced the risk of data inaccuracy and, as FreeAgent has no extra costs for payroll, reduced our costs,” said Helen Christopher, operations director at Genie Accountancy, who added that its entire client base use FreeAgent, saving their practice 20 staff hours per month.
