Big Four firm returns to tribunal appeal hearing later this week
AN appeal hearing by Deloitte over its role in the MG Rover case and the £14m fine slapped on it after the FRC’s ruling is scheduled to recommence on 30 January 2015.
The Big Four firm and its corporate finance partner Maghsoud Einollahi were fined £14m and £250,000 respectively by the tribunal for their role in advising the owners of the doomed car manufacturer in 2000.
MG Rover Group entered administration on 8 April 2005 with estimated losses of nearly £1bn and around 6,500 staff redundancies.
