Crowe Clark Whitehill boosts audit capabilities with not-for-profit partner hire

CROWE CLARK WHITEHILL has hired Nicola May, KPMG’s head of charities, as a partner in the not-for-profit team.

The appointment is the latest in a series of hires and promotions geared towards promoting the firm’s advisory capabilities, it said.

Last year, the firm welcomed Andrew Manning from Deloitte to grow the firm’s not for profit internal audit practice, which has been followed by a steady stream of arrivals and promotions, including that of John Cassidy to the firm’s tax investigations team, the promotion of Paul Blythe to partner in its corporate finance group and most recently the promotion of Rebecca Durant to tax partner.

With a background in the charity and higher education sectors that stretches back 15 years, May is also a member of the ICAEW charity technical sub-committee and spent seven years as a member of the ICAEW’s charity and voluntary sector group committee.

“Not-for-profits are expecting more from their professional advisors as they respond to the ever-changing funding and operating environment, and Nicola’s skills and experience will be a strong addition to our team,” said Pesh Framjee, head of the national not for profit group at CCW.
