Ex-PwC partner take chair at Parity
Former PwC corporate finance partner Neal Ransome takes audit chair role at digital marketing services company
PWC’S FORMER corporate finance partner Neal Ransome has taken the chairman role at digital marketing services company Parity.
Ransome joined the firm’s audit practice in 1981. He moved up the ladder to corporate finance adviser (including a secondment to a client) before becoming a member of PwC’s corporate finance team in 2002. Shortly after that he was made partner, subsequently leaving the firm as head of its pharmaceutical and healthcare division.
Ransome succeeds Mike Philips as a non-executive and chairman of the audit committee.
Other changes to the board include Peter Luff joining as a non-executive director. He is a member of parliament for mid-Worcestershire and was minister for defence equipment support and technology from 2010-12.
Previously Luff was chairman of the Business Innovation and Skills Committee of the House of Commons and is currently a non-exec of manufacturers Marlin Group.
Parity also released its half yearly financial report which showed revenues were up 8.5% to £46.5m for the year ended 30 June 2013. Profit before tax, and non-recurring items, are £500,000, compared to £90,000 loss for the same period last year.
