BNY MELLON has expanded its distribution team with three hires, including RSM Tenon’s Adrian Gough.
He will join the discretionary team in September from RSM Tenon, where he was head of investment management and responsible for £3bn of client assets, reports sister publication Investment Week. At RSM Tenon, he built the investment proposition and was chairman of the asset allocation and fund governance committees.
Russell Bignall is set to join the team this month as head of national network and bank distribution from Standard Life Group. He headed up the UK distribution team responsible for the bank and wealth manager segments and special investment sales.
Anita Rennie will also join this month as head of advisory telephone sales from Schroders, where she worked for 12 years as a business analyst/project manager for sales and marketing in London and Asia. She then moved onto the sales team, covering the London and South West Advisory channels.
“We have carefully considered how the introduction of the Retail Distribution Review will impact our industry and company and what the landscape of the advisory and discretionary market will look like over the coming years,” said Scott Goodsir, managing director of UK wholesale (pictured).
“We believe it is very clear advisors will need more support from the major distributors. In seeking to meet the future needs of our clients, we have decided to invest in talented and experienced individuals to operate in the key growth distribution channels we believe will see increased demand from clients.”
