PETERBOROUGH FIRM Rawlinsons has landed an exclusive contract with agricultural body NFU to help farmers deal with online tax filing.
The firm will help farmers who don’t have the technology, know-how – or time – to meet HMRC’s compulsory online filing of VAT returns system.
Rawlinsons register farming businesses for online filing, complete and submit monthly or quarterly VAT returns direct to HMRC, inform clients what money is owed and advise on payment, and ensure returns are up to date.
“We are delighted to have been selected by the NFU to provide this service to farmers,” said Rawlinsons partner Colin Crowley.
“The new rules governing online filing have been giving many farmers cause for concern. As a result of this agreement, we can now take on that responsibility for them through the NFU, giving them peace of mind and freeing up valuable time.”
