Larger firm extends presence across Midlands
Smith Cooper has announced it has acquired Andersons KBS Ltd, a
Birmingham-based accountancy practice.
Andersons KBS Ltd was previously run by Mike Green and Ralph Rowledge and
employs over a dozen staff.
Smith Cooper now has nine offices across the Midlands’ region and operates
corporate finance, specialist tax and corporate recovery and insolvency teams.
John Southwell, partner at Smith Cooper, said the acquisition of Andersons
KBS Ltd was a natural fit for the firm given the number of clients’ professional
advisors and bankers being based in Birmingham.
‘We fill a gap in the market in the city, providing the range of specialist
services expected from the major professional services firms, but making them
more accessible to medium sized businesses,’ he said.
