Larking Gowen completes merger with medical specialist
Larking Gowen confirms merger with Colchester-based medical accountants Hubbard Lloyd
EAST ANGLIAN firm Larking Gowen brought Colchester-based medical specialist Hubbard Lloyd into its partnership, it has been confirmed.
Hubbard Lloyd was established in 2005 by founders David Hubbard and Elizabeth Lloyd, and is the largest specialist medical accountancy firm in East Anglia, with more than 1,000 clients and a turnover of £1m.
The existing brand will be retained, with Hubbard and Lloyd heading up the Colchester practice, working closely with Larking Gowen’s medical team, led by specialist partner David Jefford in Norwich.
Larking Gowen now employs 318 staff and 22 partners spread across nine offices in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. The firm’s predicted turnover for the current financial year is £15m, up from £13.6m last year. The firm was placed at 41 in this year’s Top 50+50.
Last month, it was announced Larking Gowen would be taking on 16 graduates and school leavers studying to become either chartered accountants or to take the Association of Accounting Technicians exams.
