AAT Access Qualification

The AAT access course will teach you the essential skills and key terminology that you need to get started in the accounting profession

The new AAT access courses were introduced in January 2018 and they replaced the Level 1 courses. The latest access courses cover a variety of topics in accounting and finance including accounting software, book keeping and business skills which accompany the Foundation, Advanced and Professional qualifications available in accounting and book keeping. There are now several shorter courses which are more focused and they enable students to learn the basics, while equipping them with the skills to pursue a full AAT qualification and then progress in their career.

AAT Courses offer students the ability to pursue an accredited route into accountancy, particularly if you have little or no experience. Studying an online course in accounting enables you to study for a professional qualification from the comfort of your own home while fitting it around your existing commitments.

The AAT access course will teach you the essential skills and key terminology that you need to get started in this profession. Once you have completed the AAT Level 1 training you can embark on a career in accounting and progress into additional study to further develop your skills.

AAT operates throughout the world and with 140,000 students in over 90 countries, the organisation is represented in many different levels in finance and accounting. Students who study AAT courses are from all backgrounds, including those already working in finance or accounting, small business owners and the self employed. AAT qualifications can lead to rewarding careers in the financial sector. As well as offering full courses that can result in chartered accountant status, they also offer a range of shorter courses which are designed to meet the differing requirements of students. Short courses are available on three levels; Access which is equivalent to the old AAT Level 1 courses, Foundation, Level 2 Courses and Advanced Level 3 Courses.
