KPMG appoints new head of financial services audit
KPMG's new head of financial services audit is Rees Aronson, who also specialises in insurance audit
KPMG HAS a new head of financial services audit, taking over the role “at a critical time for the audit and assurance industry”.
Rees Aronson, head of insurance audit and a partner since 1989, said: “The role auditors play within financial services is evolving. As companies and the financial landscape have grown more complex, the industry at large is being forced to question the traditional audit function.”
Bill Michael, UK head of financial services at the firm, said the role of the auditor within the sector has never been more important, noting changes are inevitable and will present challenges for auditors and their clients.
