    New auditor-general at IDB

    The Inter-American Development Bank has named Liz Folsom as its new auditor- general.

    Folsom was previously director of internal audit for CARE, the international relief organisation. She replaces William Taylor, who faced growing criticism over his handling of corruption and fraud cases at the bank.

    It is understood that William Taylor, the former chairman of the board of the US Institute of Internal Auditors and winner of its prestigious Bradford Dadmus Memorial award, may stay on as a bank consultant.
