Hampshire residents to be given advice on how inheritance tax laws could affect them
The BBC is setting up an information stall at Waterlooville’s street market
in Hampshire today where financial advisors will be at hand to give advice on
the impact of controversial IHT rules.
The event is being filmed as part of the BBC’s Real Story programme to be
shown on 15 November.
The show will look at the increasing number of households facing massive
inheritance tax bills because of rising house prices.
The threshold for inheritance tax has risen by 85% since 1996 but the housing
market has grown by 179%.
