Sage has launched the latest version of Sage Personnel, software designed to help small businesses record and maintain essential staff information.

Sage Personnel can be used stand-alone or linked to Sage Payroll, an existing product.

Users can also choose from network, multi-company version or a range of single user applications to suit all sizes of business.

A spokesman said:’Sage Personnel offers a professional yet easy to use solution for storing and updating full employee information including absences, holidays, appraisals, training and employment history.

‘Managing employee absence can be problematic, therefore users can now view employees’ annual holiday summaries and absence summaries at a glance. Reports provide managers with information needed to plan staffing levels, and sensitive issues such as disciplinary and grievance procedures can be monitored and recorded.’

Other features includedisciplinary records to monitor staff attitudes towards work, andappraisal records to help keep track of an employee’s career development using a scoring system.
