In last week’s edition we stated that Darlows Ltd, Darlows Direct Ltd and 1st Survey (Wales & West Ltd) were all part of the Spicerhaart Group, and that 52 of Darlow’s 84 branches have been closed. This is not the case. In fact, receivers at KPMG have secured the sale of 45 branches of Darlows to the Spicerhaart group (which is not and has never been in receivership). A further 39 branches were closed, ten of which have now been sold.
