Students in a social whirl
Trainee chartered accountants are more involved than ever in student societies, according to the annual report of the English ICA's Student Council.
More and more part qualified accountants are downing their calculators and leaving their spreadsheets behind to enjoy their spare time together.
Last year there were nearly ten per cent more events organised by the 28 student’s societies of the English ICA than in the previous year. And a record number of representatives attended the National Student Council meetings last year.
Chair of the ICA Student Council Gary Ecob said: ‘Interest in student affairs has definitely risen recently and more students are becoming involved.’
