Despite the partial slowdown in the accounting software market, a survey by Clarus Corporation has revealed a new insight into the adoption of electronic procurement by UK businesses.
More than 100 finance directors of companies with an annual turnover over Pounds 160m were quizzed, and results showed FDs feel electronic procurement will be adopted by UK businesses more rapidly than previously anticipated.
The survey showed 97% of FDs believe their company can make efficiencies in their procurement supply chain, while 93% said there was scope to save money by improving the efficiency of internal processes.
Analysts suggest electronic procurement adoption rates will soar over the next couple of years due to the emergence of software solutions that offer fixed price licensing.
