NAO officers have launched a value for money report into the handling of a£29m loan made this week to the National Millennium Experience Company on top ofa previous £60m injection.
The news will come as further embarrassment for the department behind thestruggling Greenwich-based project.
A spokesman for the department of culture said: ‘Consdering the size andsignificance of the project this certainly is not a surprise nor do we have aproblem with it happening.’
She added that that the department was ready to ‘assist and cooperate’ with theauditors.
