Affinia has acquired Leigh-on-Sea accountancy firm Platt Rushton, marking the integrated advisory group’s tenth office and continuing its expansion across the East and South East.
Founded in 1989, Platt Rushton has operated in Leigh-on-Sea since 1992, building a local reputation for accessible accountancy and advisory services.
The move adds further capacity to Affinia’s regional footprint, now among the fastest-growing firms in the Top 50 rankings.
Announcing the deal, Affinia CEO Darren Redmayne said:
“We are delighted that Platt Rushton has become part of the Affinia family – bringing our 10th office in Leigh-on-Sea. We welcome our new colleagues and look forward to working together to support clients across the region and delivering positive impact on the regional economy and our local communities.”
The addition follows a series of regional integrations by Affinia, reflecting continued consolidation in the UK accountancy sector, particularly among mid-sized firms looking to build scale in a competitive market.
Graham Powling, Partner at Platt Rushton, said the firm had been seeking a partner that aligned with its values and approach:
“For over 30 years we have taken pride in delivering exceptional accountancy services to our clients from our Leigh-on-Sea office. Finding a people-focused firm which shares our core values and goals was key when considering the perfect partner. We’re delighted to now be part of Affinia and look forward to an exciting future together.”
