Saffery LLP appoints Ami Jack as Head of National Tax team

Saffery LLP, a prominent top-15 accounting and advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Ami Jack as a partner and head of its National Tax team.

With over 20 years of experience in tax advisory, Jack brings a wealth of expertise in corporate tax and financial services to the firm.

In her new role, Jack will oversee the National Tax team, which is responsible for managing and maintaining the firm’s tax knowledge base, supporting new tax opportunities, and engaging with tax policy development.

The team’s key functions also include managing tax-related risks and staying ahead of legislative changes, ensuring that clients receive the most current and informed advice.

Under the leadership of Sean McGinness, National Tax Partner at Saffery, the National Tax team plays an integral role in delivering high-quality client services, drawing from the latest insights on tax policy, digitalisation of tax, and risk planning.

The team also supports innovations like automation in tax processes and keeping pace with evolving legislative reforms.

Before joining Saffery LLP, Ami Jack served as the Head of National Tax at S&W (formerly Evelyn Partners/Smith & Williamson) for seven years. Jack has also gained significant experience at a Big Four firm, further enhancing her comprehensive background in tax advisory.

Her expertise spans a range of sectors, including venture capital, corporate investment vehicles, and personal tax matters like inheritance and succession.

The appointment of Ami Jack is a pivotal move for the continued development of Saffery’s tax offering.

As head of the National Tax team, Jack will be responsible for supporting a team of 25 partners and approximately 400 staff members, guiding them through the increasingly complex UK tax landscape.
