Alex Falcon Huerta speaks to Accountancy Age about winning Best New Practice at the British Accountancy Awards, the biggest challenges of 2017, and students and technology in accountancy in 2018.
Falcon Huerta says that the biggest challenges last year for Soaring Falcon revolved around the staff’s understanding of technology, but the firm has overcome these difficulties by bringing in a new breed of accountants from school and providing training and coaching.
She says that technology has massively improved how accountants perform as business advisers as it means that mundane processes can be automated, increasing efficiency and allowing firms to focus on added value services.
Soaring Falcon has taken full advantage of technology on offer given that it is fully cloud, fully automated and fully digital. The firm is now focused bringing on new staff, enhancing what the firm can deliver to clients, and growing the firm globally.
