Bio
Following her graduation from Reading, Churchman worked as a HR Manager and then Senior Manager at Coopers & Lybrand, where she remained for over 17 years.
Churchman is a senior HR professional with over 25 years’ experience in the professional services sector.
In 2004, she moved on to PwC, leading on Talent Management, Diversity & Inclusion, and Employee Wellbeing, with a special focus on mental health.
With more than ten years of experience in the area of diversity and inclusion, Churchman is one the country’s most experienced professionals in this field.
She was an early adopter of unconscious bias awareness training, winning and Opportunity Now award in 2011 for Open Mind elearning and won a further Opportunity Now award in 2013 for her sponsorship programme.

Awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours list in recognition of her work in championing workplace diversity and inclusion, Churchman will not be slowing down in her efforts to drive awareness and change at PwC and in the wider industry. The firm published a mean gender pay gap of 13.7% in 2017, narrowing the gap from 15.2% in 2016, and Churchman will be behind the drive to close the gap further this year.
