KPMG announces senior tech advisory appointment

A new head of solutions, Aidan Brennan, has been appointed at KPMG UK.

Simon Collins, chairman of KPMG in the UK, said: “Aidan will lead in developing and delivering the solutions our clients need and will help us to achieve our growth ambitions.”

Brennan will lead the firm’s investments through new technology, client solutions and innovation. He has replaced Karen Briggs, who has been appointed to lead the firm’s Brexit response.

Aidan Brennan, head of solutions, said: “Clients are seeking insight and guidance as they face a period of prolonged economic and political uncertainty. The focus for the next financial year will be to continue to integrate our alliances and acquisitions into our business and achieve sustained organic growth”

Previously Brennan was the firm’s global head of Management Consulting and tripled the practice’s revenues in seven years.

KPMG UK have been seeing ‘strong’ returns from their recent acquisitions such as Nunwood and Boxwood. The firm currently operates from 22 offices across the UK with approximately 12,000 partners and staff with a recorded a revenue of £1.96bn in the year ending September 2015.

Collins added: “We have invested heavily to help clients seize opportunities, tackle the challenges they face, and improve productivity. We are seeing significant demand to help mitigate potential threats such as cyber security and financial crime.”
