KPMG senior tax partner to become firm’s next global head of tax

SENIOR KPMG tax partner Jane McCormick is to become the firm’s next global head of tax, Accountancy Age can reveal.

McCormick, currently head of tax for the EMA region and senior tax partner for the UK firm, will become the group’s global head of tax, taking over from KPMG veteran Greg Wiebe, who has over 30 years of experience in the tax industry.

McCormick has spent over 20 years at KPMG, formerly serving as chair of its global investment management and banking teams.

A KPMG spokesperson said: “Jane is a leading figure in the debate on tax responsibility both in the UK and globally, and is well-known within the global tax community.

“Jane’s track record as a senior tax partner, as well as her experience as EMA head of tax, means she has the cross-border experience and global knowledge needed to succeed in this role.”

KPMG said a successor will be announced in due course
