Easterby latest to leave Baker Tilly for Quantuma

BAKER TILLY has lost yet another member of its restructuring team to Quantuma, the insolvency practice launched in January 2013 by former RSM Tenon head of restructuring Carl Jackson [pictured].

Qualified insolvency practitioner Richard Easterby has left the firm to join Quantuma as senior manager, where he will join former Baker Tilly restructuring partner Simon Bonney, and former Baker Tilly consultant Andrew Hosking, who joined Quantuma in April.

Providing key support to Quantuma’s London team is James Varney who has joined as insolvency administrator.

Since its launch, in excess of 40 people are understood to have joined Quantuma from Baker Tilly via recruitment and acquisition following its deal to buy RSM Tenon via a pre-pack administration in August 2013.

In December, Quantuma bought two former RSM Tenon practices from Baker Tilly, based in Marlow and Brighton, which included all business and assets including the offices, caseload and staff.

Simon Bonney said “We are delighted to welcome Andy, Richard and James. With the expertise they bring, we have further enhanced our ability to service institutional lenders and investors and undertake complex work. In a challenging environment, our continued expansion in London and the South East demonstrates our commitment to delivering solutions to our valued professional partners”.
