Ex-KPMG partner made head of property tax for Gabelle

FORMER KPMG PARTNER Caroline Fleet has been made head of property tax by tax consultants Gabelle.

Fleet has some 15 years’ experience, having begun her career with PwC as a tax manager, before taking a similar role at KPMG. A brief stint advising Liberal Democrat MP Norman Lamb followed, before she returned to KPMG, first as senior manager, and later associate tax partner before taking her current role with Gabelle.

In particular, Fleet has experience in advising on trading v investment considerations, permanent establishment and holding structures.

In October last year, Gabelle acquired tax-lecturing and writing practice of chartered tax adviser Matthew Hutton after he retired.

Established in February 2011, Gabelle provides tax support to accountants, lawyers and other professionals.
