Celebrity bankruptcy trustee Louise Brittain leaves Deloitte after five years for Top 30 firm Wilkins Kennedy
DELOITTE INSOVLENCY partner Louise Brittain has left the Big Four firm to join Wilkins Kennedy in a similar role.
Brittain joined the firm in early 2009 from Baker Tilly where she had served for 14 years. She mainly handles high profile and complicated bankruptcy cases – often as a trustee to celebrities, such as ex-Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, the Cheeky Girls, goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar, footballer Colin Hendry, politician Jonathan Aitken, presenter Michael Barrymore and historian David Irving.
She has also worked as a non-executive director of the Insolvency Service Steering board, is a members of the IPA and a national council member for the insolvency trade body R3.
Dave Fenn (pictured), managing partner at Wilkins Kennedy, said: “Louise is a highly experienced insolvency specialist and will be an asset to our growing insolvency department. We would like to wish her a warm welcome to the firm.”
Wilkins Kennedy, ranked 21 in the 2013 Accountancy Age Top50+50 table, has revenues of £31.5m. The firm has recently expanded, having merged with Hampshire-based CW Fellowes last month and Southampton-based Matthews Mist in May.
Brittain said: “I am highly delighted to be joining such a focused and quality team. I look forward to contributing to the future growth and success of Wilkins Kennedy.”
