All change at French Duncan as managing partner becomes chairman, and former corporate chief takes up the managing partner mantle
FRENCH DUNCAN’S former managing partner is stepping into the chairman role, and its ex-head of corporate finance has been bumped up to managing partner.
New chairman Robert Kerr was managing partner for 11 years, and his replacement, Graeme Finnie, has been with the firm for more than six years.
Kerr helped grow the mid-tier firm’s annual turnover from £3m to £8.5m in the last few years, and Finnie said of his predecessor: “He has turned French Duncan from a relatively modest-sized Glasgow-based operation into one of Scotland’s largest independent accountancy firms [using] a shrewd combination of growth, both organically and by acquisition, and merger.”
He said his plans for the firm include busting the £15m annual turnover marker within five years, and building on its two strong hubs in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
