NEUTRALISING HACKERS is the focus of PwC staff as they embark on a “Don’t be Tomorrow’s Headline” course.
PwC is keen for the firm to be in the news for the right reasons, as it begins training employees on minimising the risk of data being hacked.
Staff will take part in a live hacking demonstration and learn about best practice policies.
“We all have a personal responsibility to protect our own work and that of the wider firm and our clients,” said Jay Abbott, director of PwC’s threat and vulnerability team.
“Something as simple as completely shutting down your PC each night, rather than just closing the lid if it’s a laptop or putting it on sleep mode, negates the threat of hackers being able to hack into your system and steal your data,” he said.
