British American Tobacco FD takes on CIO role

The finance director at British American Tobacco is to take on the additional
role of chief information officer as part of a boardroom shake up.

Ben Stevens, 50, will take on the responsibility of helping with the
integration of the global business in his new dual role, starting from
September.

With the departure of chief executive Paul Adams scheduled for February next
year, the company has taken the opportunity to change the makeup of the board.
Chief operating officer Nicandro Durante will take over following Adams’
departure but will be appointed chief executive designate from September. At the
same time, John Daly will step into Durante’s current position.

In its statement to the City, BAT also announced several changes to the
management board and welcomed former PwC chairman Kieran Poynter into his role
as a non-executive director.
