Stats the way to do it

Noticed a little gem in Haines Watts’ survey of their clients’ sentiment about current tax and banking issues.

Among the various stats was one that caught my eye.

Only 10% of respondents would use their bank to ‘sense-check’ business decisions, preferring to turn to other business owners (53%) or their accountants (48%).

It’s good to see that owner-managers are much more likely to turn to their accountant than their bank manager on more strategic issues. But I also wonder what Haines Watts will do to try and get the other half of their clients turning to them for non-compliance work?
