Students and members of the Association of Accounting Technicians will not
have to pay fees for CIPFA exams they do not need to take.
This applies for all examinations scheduled between 1 May – 24 September 2010
and will save students up to £300. CIPFA said it was the only accountancy body
not to charge such fees.
“Students and members of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) will
not have to pay a fee for examination modules at the Chartered Institute of
Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) from which they are exempted,” the
institute said today in a statement.
AAT full members are eligible for exemptions from the Financial Accounting
and Management Accounting modules in the CIPFA examinations as well as Taxation
if they have passed the relevant AAT tax modules. The remaining ten papers can
all be completed within two years.
