PKF calls for development tax allowances
Current annual investment allowance not stimulating big business
PKF is calling for the Chancellor to bring in tax allowances to help
developers and large businesses.
Partner Fraser Goodall told the
Birmingham
Post that the new annual investment allowance is helping smaller
businesses but is providing no stimulus at the higher end of the market.
There are no incentives for businesses to invest in commercial buidlings,
with the industrial buildings allowance now being phased out.
It would have the dual benefit of encouraging energy-efficient
refurbishments, Goodall adds.
