‘Youngster’ named new CIMA president

Scotsman to lead institute
Gordon Grant, a 44-year old Scotsman from Edinburgh, has been named as the
new president of the Chartered Institute of
Management Accountants, following its AGM held at the Café Royal over the
weekend
Grant holds the record as the youngest ever elected Council member and has
now become the youngest president of the institute for over 50 years.
He is currently the finance director of
DEM Solutions Ltd, a software
company based in Edinburgh.
On becoming CIMA president, Grant said: ‘CIMA is a successful, vibrant and
growing institute. I am passionately committed to building on the tremendous
legacy of my predecessors to further grow our membership and reputation
throughout the world.’
