No buyers found for 20 hotels and managed pubs
No buyers found for 20 hotels and managed pubs
Administrators from Ernst & Young have been forced to close 20 hotels and
managed pubs of the London & Edinburgh Swallow Group after being unable to
find any buyers for them.
The closure of the hotels and pubs resulted in the loss of approximately 220
jobs.
E&Y administrators said they had explored every possible avenue to save
these sites since being appointed to run the group on 14 September but had been
unsuccessful.
Joint administrator Angela Swarbrick said: ‘It is unfortunate that despite
negotiation with interested parties, it has not been possible to conclude a sale
of these hotels and pubs to secure their long term future. Regretfully, we are
no longer able to continue trading the sites affected.’

Hill, Lenham, Maidstone; Horse and Groom, Rollesby, Norfolk; Panmure Hotel,
Monifieth, Angus; and Swan Hotel, Gillingham, Beccles;
