Damian Wild, Accountancy Age’s editor in chief, and Alex Hawkes, the tax
correspondent, will be writing regular entries to the new weblogs, called
‘Accountancy Matters’ and ‘Tax Hack’ respectively.
Wild’s blog will focus on general issues of relevance to the profession,
whilst Hawkes will write specifically about tax issues affecting companies,
advisers and HM Revenue & Customs.
Recent entries include a discussion of the Oxera report and how it relates to
satirical magazine Viz and speculation as to whether HMRC will be able to push
through the Carter reforms and change filing deadlines for self-assessment.
The blogs will also allow readers to contribute and link readers to external
sources of information, enabling them to read key documents at the centre of
major debates.
