Former Parmalat audit partners banned from working on audits for two years by markets regulator
Audit bans have been handed out to two former auditor partners who worked for
Deloitte on Parmalat.
Markets regulator Consob has banned Deloitte from using Adolfo Mamoli and
Giuseppe Rovelli from working on audits for two years, according to the
Financial Times.
However, Mamoli has retired and Rovelli is involved in other work for the
firm.
Deloitte said it had full confidence in the work of both men, stating that it
was misled by Parmalat’s managers.
