Moore Stephens International has doubled the size of its US practice
following the merger of Moore Stephens North America with The Global Alliance, a
$330m (£187m) network of eight US independent firms.
MSI is represented in 90 countries around the world, including the UK where
it is 12th in the Accountancy Age Top 50 firms, and has a worldwide
income of $1.25bn.
The merger will provide MSI with a US network of 34 member firms, with gross
revenues of more than $600m, and, according to Richard Moore, UK-based chairman
of MSI will turn it into ‘one of the most substantial US networks outside the
Big Four’.
He said the transaction was the ‘first in a series’ of planned strategic
developments to grow the Moore Stephens International network.
‘The move enhances our US capabilities by adding eight successful and
ambitious firms across the US. We expect to announce further additions to the
network in the not too distant future,’ he added.
