Deloittes checks bonds
Deloitte & Touche has been called in by National Savings to check an internal investigation was undertaken properly following claims that computer errors caused thousands of Premium Bond winners to lose out on prizes. Checks dating back 12 years were carried out and revealed one batch of bonds was incorrectly identified as ineligible for payouts. National Savings chief executive Peter Bareau said he would enact any recommendations arising from Deloittes’ findings.
