Chris Swinson, the English ICA deputy president, will once again appear as an expert witness for Dame Shirley Porter as she fights to clear her name of the Westminster Council ‘homes-for-votes’ allegations. The BDO Stoy Hayward partner will testify during the six-week High Court appeal due to start on 2 October. Deloitte and Touche partner John Magill, the council’s district auditor until this year, is seeking to impose a #31.6m surcharge on Dame Shirley and five others after he ruled they engaged in ‘disgraceful and unlawful gerrymandering’.
