Retail buyers will be able to purchase the new Microsoft Office Accounting suite today after the software enjoyed a successful online launch which saw 40,000 downloads of the programme.
Microsoft Office Accounting was officially launched in November last year and is targeted at small businesses and sole traders. Offering the programme in retail outlets is the next key step of Microsoft's plans to roll out the programme.
'Since November, nearly 40,000 users have downloaded the product and we’ve received some great feedback about it. As a result, we feel it’s time the full suite of Microsoft Office Accounting products enters the retail market and offers consumers the opportunity to buy the full range off the shelf,' said Gareth Arnold, head of Microsoft Office Accounting.
Users will be able to buy Office Accounting Professional, Office Accounting 3 user addition and Office Accounting Professional Plus, which includes 12 month subscription to Microsoft’s payroll service.
The products will be available at Dixons, Staples and Amazon. Office Accounting Professional will retail for £149.99, Office Accounting 3 user addition is priced at £349.99 and Office Accounting Professional Plus will cost £249.99.
