    Audit oversight regulators meet in Tokyo

    Regulators discuss oversight co-operation at meeting in Japan

    Audit regulators, under the umbrella of the International Forum of
    Independent Audit Regulators, have met in Tokyo today to discuss oversight
    co-operation in the oversight of public company auditors.

    The US Public Company Accounting
    Oversight Board     also announced that it would accept IFIAR’s invitation to
    become a full member of the organisation.

    PCAOB chairman Mark Olson also met with his Japanese
    and Korean oversight regulators, to discuss co-operation in auditor oversight.
