Hays have been exclusively retained to recruit a Group Financial Accountant for Doncasters in Burton.
Your new company
The Doncasters Group is a leading international manufacturer of high-precision alloy components which are designed to operate in the most demanding of conditions. With 240 years of experience, this fast-moving group is constantly developing its broad range of products and processes to best serve the aerospace, industrial gas turbine, specialist automotive and petrochemical markets. Doncasters global revenues are over £250 million, employing over 1,500 staff worldwide and their group head office is based in Burton-Upon-Trent.
Following a recent successful restructure and appointment of a new Group CFO, the organisation is looking for a Qualified Financial Accountant to join the existing finance team of 11. The successful candidate will be a technically strong accountant with a wealth of experience in IFRS and Group consolidation.
About the role
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the timely completion of all Group statutory reporting. As Group Financial Accountant, your primary focus will be to consolidate group accounts under IFRS whilst preparing individual UK subsidiary statutory accounts under FRS 102. Alongside this, you will also be responsible for the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for corporate entities whilst supporting the wider finance team through the implementation of more effective processes. This is a key role within the business and a great opportunity to establish a position of reliability and trust with the CFO, Group FC and Group Finance Manager through the delivery of accurate and timely information when needed, whilst ensuring reporting is compliant and in line with regulations
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will need to be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) with post qualification experience within financial reporting. Although industry relevant experience is not needed, it is essential that you have exceptional working knowledge of IFRS from working within a large organisation or managing large corporate accounts within practice.
What you'll get in return
The business is going through an exciting period of change and growth through some unprecedented times, and as such it is a great time to join a known and respected business within the industry. Doncasters are offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, whilst offering the right candidate flexibility to work from home in the short term, as well as post COVID.
