If you are a candidate to become an Independent Member of our Audit & Risk Committee you will be a qualified accountant (or have experience of the audit and risk function in a senior executive or non-executive role), and knowledge of corporate governance in a regulated sector would be an advantage. Strong candidates will have particular strengths in at least one of the following:

  • Strategic risk management, systems of internal control and assurance.
  • Internal and external audit functions.
  • Regulatory frameworks and compliance with statutory duties.

You’ll have a good understanding of the crucial importance of corporate governance in a regulated sector, and some knowledge and / or experience of housing associations would be a real asset. Above all, you’ll appreciate our values-driven approach, and will share not only our sense of social purpose, but also our conviction that running a great business is the best route to achieve it.
