Are you an Assistant Tax Manager with transfer pricing experience within insurance?

This role sits within the International Tax department based in London. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills who is comfortable liaising with all levels within the business as well as external advisors. The successful candidate will be required to monitoring the transfer pricing policy and ensuring being correctly applied, managing the transfer pricing compliance including preparing/reviewing TP documentation as well as working with the wider finance teams/business and external advisors to ensure a coherent approach.

Key Accountabilities

Working within the International Tax Team, the main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
  • Acting as the main point of contact for all transfer pricing matters within the tax department.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure that all group intercompany transactions are correctly identified, benchmarked and documented.
  • Supporting the wider Tax function in the preparation and submission of the Country-by-Country reporting requirements.
  • Submitting transfer pricing tax returns in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Managing the transfer pricing documentation process from end-to-end. This will include liaising with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure documentation is prepared according to relevant country standards.
  • Prepare and/or review TP documentation.
  • Ensure transfer pricing documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Finance teams to review and monitor implementation of transfer pricing policies across the group and ensuring the Group's Transfer Pricing Policy is being adhered to correctly.
  • Working closely with the wider finance and operation teams as well as the legal department to ensure transactions are correctly identified and appropriate documentation is in place internally.
  • Prepare and/or review Diverted Profit Tax documentation.
  • Perform the Lloyds PE coverholder analysis & submit the required certificates.
  • Provide transfer pricing support in the context of potential tax audits.
  • Provide support in relation to transfer pricing projects in various areas such as projects driven by business change including acquisitions or business restructuring.
  • Maintain tax technical awareness in relevant territories of relevant changes.
  • Assist with ensuring the Tax Governance tasks and support the wider Tax team with non TP tasks as required.

The ideal candidate;

The successful candidate will be either an assistant tax manager looking to step up or a newly appointed transfer pricing manager working in practice or in-house. Knowledge of the insurance industry is essential.

A good understanding of OECD guidelines and rules applicable to intercompany transactions such as intercompany financing and management services recharges as well as transactions specific to the insurance industry such as reinsurance
