As Senior Management Accounting and Systems Manager you will have lead responsibility for information, reporting and analytical capability within Ofgem Finance and its internal and external customers. You’ll also ensure that we make optimum use of our Finance and Payroll systems and manage a Management Accounting function. Reporting to our Head of Strategic Finance you will lead a team that manages and continuously improves processes and controls that support the integrity and value of the data and information Ofgem Finance uses. You’ll have a broad remit that encompasses reporting and system management; optimising and developing financial systems; and management accounting.

It’s likely that you are a qualified accountant – though you may be able to demonstrate equivalent expertise through extensive experience of working with financial systems and reporting suites. You’ll already have a track record in leading a high performing management / systems accounting team within a large complex organisation and have a well-informed appreciation of how to translate business requirements into system design and development. You’ll have excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate your own workload and that of your team. With excellent leadership, people management and coaching skills you’ll also have the wider people skills that enable you to foster positive working relationships throughout the organisation, enabling you to advise, assure and influence at all levels.
